Crawl Search Terms BETA

Effective Date: May 10, 2026  |  Last Updated: June 7, 2026

Crawl Search runs in your browser via the Price Comparison Live Crawler extension. Outbound requests originate from your device, not from our servers. See Section 3 below.

These Crawl Search Terms ("Crawl Search Terms") supplement and incorporate by reference the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and Affiliate Disclosure that govern your use of PriceHunti.com (the "Site"). To the extent of any conflict between these Crawl Search Terms and any other agreement governing the Site, the more restrictive term controls with respect to your use of the Crawl Search feature.

1. Description of the Beta Service

Crawl Search is an experimental, on-demand product look-up feature delivered entirely through your own web browser. It requires the official Price Comparison Live Crawler browser extension (the "Extension"). When you submit a query, the Extension fetches publicly accessible Schema.org "Product" structured data from (a) a small list of third-party retail websites that the Site operator has pre-configured ("Predefined Sources"), and (b) additional retail pages discovered on the fly via free public search engines ("Discovered Sources" — collectively, "Sources"). Crawl Search is provided as an additional convenience and does not replace the Site's primary price-comparison index produced from merchant data feeds.

BETA STATUS. Crawl Search is offered as a beta service. It may be modified, suspended, throttled, or permanently discontinued at any time without prior notice. Features, behaviour, ranking, and the list of Sources may change without notice. Beta service-level commitments are none: no uptime, latency, completeness, or accuracy guarantees apply.

2. Eligibility & Permitted Use

You may use Crawl Search only if you:

  • are at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction;
  • access the feature for personal, non-commercial product research;
  • have installed the Extension yourself from its official distribution channel and have read its in-store permissions disclosure;
  • are not subject to any sanctions, export-control restrictions, or embargoes that would prohibit your use of the Site; and
  • have full power and authority to agree to and comply with these Crawl Search Terms.

3. Data Source & Process — Browser-Side Execution

Crawl Search runs entirely inside your browser. When you submit a query, the Site sends only the list of Predefined Source URL templates to the Extension; the Extension then, using your browser, your IP address, and your network connection, issues outbound HTTP requests to:

  • each Predefined Source's product-listing URL (with your query inserted in place of the {q} placeholder);
  • one or more free public search engines (currently DuckDuckGo HTML and Brave Search HTML, in that order, as a fallback chain) to discover additional retail pages relevant to your query; and
  • each Discovered Source page returned by those search engines, up to a small per-query cap.

For each page it fetches, the Extension:

  • retrieves /robots.txt for that origin and refuses to fetch any URL disallowed by it for the bot token PriceHuntiBot;
  • parses Schema.org Product (or compatible) JSON-LD blocks, including AggregateOffer, @graph, and itemListElement structures;
  • applies a request timeout, deduplicates Discovered Sources by domain, and excludes the search engines themselves and common non-shop domains (social media, video sites, etc.);
  • passes only the parsed product records — not the raw HTML — back to the Site's web page for rendering.

Because all outbound requests are made by your browser, the operators of the Sources and search engines will see your IP address, your User-Agent, and your query in their server logs, just as they would for any other browsing activity from your device. They may log, analyse, retain, and act on that information under their own policies, which the Site does not control. The Site itself does not see, log, store, cache, or republish the content returned to your browser, and never relays your IP address to the Sources on your behalf.

By submitting a query, you direct the Extension — acting as your agent — to make these third-party requests using your device and IP address. You are responsible for ensuring that those requests are permitted by the Sources' terms of service and by applicable law in your jurisdiction.

4. No Warranty; "AS IS" Disclaimer

CRAWL SEARCH IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement;
  • warranties that the feature will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components;
  • warranties that any product name, description, image, price, currency, availability, region, edition, coupon, or merchant attribution returned by Crawl Search is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any purpose;
  • warranties regarding the conduct, policies, pricing, fees, taxes, shipping, returns, refunds, warranties, or customer service of any third-party Source.

You must independently verify any information returned by Crawl Search on the originating merchant's website before making any purchase or other decision. Crawl Search results are not an offer to sell, an offer to buy, nor a binding price quotation, and we are not a party to any transaction you initiate from a Crawl Search result.

5. Third-Party Sources, Trademarks & Intellectual Property

The Sources, their domain names, store names, brand names, logos, product images, product descriptions, and all other content displayed in a Crawl Search result are the property of the respective Source or its licensors. Their appearance through Crawl Search:

  • is for identification and comparison purposes only;
  • does not imply any endorsement of, sponsorship by, partnership with, or affiliation with the Source or any rights holder;
  • does not transfer any right, title, or interest in those marks or works to you or to us; and
  • does not waive any right of any rights holder.

If you are a Source operator or rights holder and wish to be removed from Crawl Search, or believe that content surfaced through Crawl Search infringes your rights, see Section 11 (Source Opt-Out) and our DMCA policy. We will act promptly on any properly submitted request.

6. Affiliate Disclosure for Crawl Search

Some Crawl Search result links may, where technically possible, include affiliate or referral parameters that identify the Site as the referrer of the click, in which case we may earn a commission if you complete a purchase on the Source. The presence or absence of an affiliate parameter does not influence:

  • which Sources are included in Crawl Search;
  • the order in which results are displayed; or
  • the price you pay on the Source.

See the Affiliate Disclosure for further detail.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not, and will not assist or permit any third party to:

  • use Crawl Search to send a volume or pattern of queries that constitutes automated harvesting, scraping, or denial-of-service against the Site or any Source;
  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent any rate limit, query-length limit, or other technical control;
  • use Crawl Search to fetch URLs that are private, internal, non-public, or that would violate the Source's terms, robots directives, or applicable law;
  • use Crawl Search in violation of any export-control, sanctions, anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering, consumer-protection, intellectual-property, privacy, or competition law;
  • resell, syndicate, mirror, frame, scrape, or otherwise commercially exploit Crawl Search output, the underlying HTML, or any rendered tile;
  • introduce malware, scripts, or queries designed to exfiltrate, corrupt, or destabilise the Site, any Source, or any third-party service;
  • use Crawl Search to compile a database, dataset, training corpus, or model from third-party content; or
  • impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, in connection with your use of Crawl Search.

Violation of this Section 7 is a material breach of these Crawl Search Terms, the Terms of Service, and (where applicable) the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act or equivalent foreign law. We may suspend, throttle, IP-block, or terminate access to Crawl Search at any time, with or without notice, for actual or suspected violation.

8. Pricing, Currency, Region & Availability

All prices, currency designations, region codes, edition labels, stock indicators, coupon codes, and merchant names returned through Crawl Search are extracted verbatim from the public structured data published by the Source at the moment of the query. They are subject to change at any time, may be cached upstream, may be incorrect, and may not reflect the price you will be charged at the Source's checkout. Currency conversion, payment-method fees, region locks, and activation restrictions described in our Disclaimer apply equally to Crawl Search results — please review them.

9. Privacy

Because Crawl Search runs in your browser via the Extension, your search query is transmitted, in URL-escaped form, as part of outbound requests issued by your own browser to each Predefined Source, to each Discovered Source, and to the public search engine(s) used to discover them. Each of those parties — not the Site — receives your IP address, your User-Agent, your query, and any cookies your browser has already set for that party's domain. They may log that information under their own policies, which the Site does not control. The Site does not see, log, or store the queries, the outbound request metadata, or the result HTML.

Our handling of your IP address, request metadata, and cookies on the Site itself is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. The Extension's own data handling is governed by its in-store privacy disclosure, which you should review before installing it. Do not use Crawl Search to transmit any personal, sensitive, confidential, or regulated information.

10. Disclaimer of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PriceHunti, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR ANY OTHER LOSS OR DAMAGE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, CRAWL SEARCH — including without limitation any inaccuracy, incompleteness, or untimeliness of result data; any decision to purchase or refrain from purchasing any product from any Source; any conduct or content of any Source or any third-party merchant; any region lock, payment fee, currency-conversion difference, tax, or shipping charge applied at a Source's checkout; any infection, intrusion, loss of data, or unauthorized access to your device; or any change to, suspension of, or discontinuation of Crawl Search itself — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage and even if a remedy otherwise stated in these Crawl Search Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

Without limiting the foregoing, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Crawl Search shall not exceed the greater of (a) twenty-five United States dollars (USD $25) or (b) the amount, if any, that you paid to us specifically for Crawl Search in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (which, for a free Beta service, is zero).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Source Opt-Out & Removal Requests

If you operate one of the Predefined Sources currently configured for Crawl Search and wish to be removed from that list, send a request from an email address at the Source's primary domain (or otherwise demonstrating ownership) to Support@PriceHunti.com with the subject line "Crawl Search Removal — <your domain>". We will remove the Source from the Predefined Sources list within five (5) business days of verifying the request.

For all Sources — Predefined or Discovered — you may also block the Extension at your own infrastructure by adding a Disallow rule in robots.txt targeted at the PriceHuntiBot token, or at *. The Extension fetches /robots.txt from your origin before fetching any page and honours the longest-matching Allow/Disallow rule. Note that because Crawl Search requests originate from individual end-user IP addresses rather than a central server, IP-based blocks at your infrastructure are not a meaningful control; robots.txt is.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PriceHunti, its officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and affiliates from and against any claim, demand, action, proceeding, liability, damage, loss, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • your use of Crawl Search;
  • your breach of these Crawl Search Terms or any law;
  • your infringement or alleged infringement of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contract right of any third party in connection with your use of Crawl Search;
  • any query you submit, any URL you cause to be fetched, or any subsequent transaction you enter with a Source.

13. Modifications & Termination

We may revise these Crawl Search Terms at any time by posting an updated version with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will take effect when posted. Your continued use of Crawl Search after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Crawl Search Terms. We may suspend or terminate your or any user's access to Crawl Search at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Sections 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 15 survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Crawl Search Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws applicable to the Site as set out in the Terms of Service, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The dispute-resolution and forum provisions of the Terms of Service apply equally to any dispute arising from or relating to Crawl Search.

15. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Crawl Search Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. These Crawl Search Terms, together with the documents listed in the opening paragraph, constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to Crawl Search and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings on the subject.

16. Contact

Questions about these Crawl Search Terms, opt-out requests, or rights-holder notices should be sent to Support@PriceHunti.com.
